Managed IT Services

Day-to-day IT support and cybersecurity management solve different problems. Your firm may need help keeping people productive, maintaining its technology and coordinating changes. It also needs clear responsibility for protecting confidential client data.

IT Assure works with professional firms to define the support they need and the responsibilities each party will own. Our primary recurring offer, Cyber Defensibility, manages defined cybersecurity controls without requiring you to outsource every IT task.

Take the Quick Self-Check to consider cybersecurity ownership and coverage. Prefer a conversation? Book a Cybersecurity Review.

Define the support your firm actually needs

Before choosing a managed IT arrangement, separate routine user requests, infrastructure responsibilities, vendor coordination and project work. An agreement should make clear what is covered, how requests are handled, and which work requires separate approval.

Areas to clarify include:

  • End-user support and routine administration.
  • Responsibility for computers, servers, networks and business applications.
  • Coordination with software, internet and other technology providers.
  • Onsite work, equipment replacement and planned projects.
  • Support hours, escalation, fees and service expectations.

These are scoping questions, not a promise that every activity is included. The services available to your firm and their limits are established in the agreed proposal and service agreement.

Make cybersecurity ownership explicit

Resolving a support ticket does not establish that every intended user and device remains protected. Under Cyber Defensibility, IT Assure manages covered security controls, monitors their operation, validates coverage, corrects routine covered gaps and verifies the correction.

The firm receives clear reporting of remaining issues and actions. General helpdesk work, major infrastructure changes and specialized services are not automatically included in that recurring cybersecurity scope.

Choose the right division of responsibilities

A small internal IT resource or technology consultant can continue handling agreed day-to-day work. If you want help defining an operational support arrangement, see Co-Managed IT Services. If the gap is specifically cybersecurity ownership, see Co-Managed Cybersecurity.

Larger technology decisions, budgets and planned changes can be addressed through separately scoped IT Strategy & Advisory.

Start with the problem, then agree the scope

Cyber Defensibility is designed primarily for CPA, accounting and law firms that need an accountable cybersecurity function. It is not an unlimited-helpdesk package or a commitment to handle every technology project.

The optional Quick Self-Check is self-reported and focuses on cybersecurity. The approximately 30-minute Cybersecurity Review explores current protections, responsibilities and concerns. If your need is broader operational support, explain that at the outset so we can determine whether there is an appropriate fit. Existing clients’ services remain governed by their agreements.
